Ansen Seale has invented a time machine; a camera that captures an abstracted form of the hidden realities our minds must bend in order to process... think of time as a visual plane. This is slitscan photography, invented by Ansen Seale and reflected in his time machine: the Slitscan Camera.
"(It is)... unfamiliar to our traditional concept of the depiction of time and space in art. In other words, this camera is recording a reality that exists, but one we cannot see without it.” - Ansen Seale
Are there hidden realities in existence? What Seale has done is reinterpret the normal momental interpretations consistently expressed in photography, and created a cubist median between a still image and that of cinema, flattening the 4th Dimension... time is tangible, appearing all at once.
From the Series, Temporal Form:
Traditionally we look at a picture with vertical dimension, horizontal dimension, depth, and the passage of Time which is traditionally a trademark of a blurred image, but to photograph this series, Seal's Slitscan Camera swaps the dimensions of the Horizontal Plane and Time... obscuring dimensional perception.
"The model in the studio must move in order to be captured."

I love your images, subject movements are really intriguing when transposed with slit-scan. I suggest you to try ScanCamera, it is a great iPhone App for doing slit-scan.
