Von Brandis : Fill in the Blanks

"Obscene Interiors" by Artist Von Brandis

Sung Jang : Hair Today

I'm always looking for pieces to share on Liaison Érotique that are... less typical forms of erotic art.
Sung Jang's hair drawings have definitely made the 'cut'.

Hair separated from the head makes me cringe, especially when a single strand is caught in between toes or fingers etc. but when attached to the head in thickness becomes a coveted gorgeousness.

Her 'drawings' may remind you of hair that gets caught in the drain, or unruly pubic hair- which envelops a sense of 'disgust' or 'grossness' in present day culture. Nevertheless, I've never seen work like Sung Jang's particularly because despite the 'ugliness', something delicate shines through, something organic and alive, similar to what the birth of a molecule looks like and then the more obvious notion of female genitalia and reproductive organs. I won't necessarily be hanging it in my home, but I'll be reminded that insignificances we shed can be revived....
